Benefits of Tailored Exercise Program

Brian Betancourt, Exercise Physiologist at Baptist Health South Florida, explains every exercise program should be tailored to the individual. "Anybody you're working with should be aware of any conditions that you have, so if you have hypertension, make sure you let somebody know so they know not to load you too much," he says.

He recommends using fitness monitors to see how your workout is going or if you want to keep track of your intensity; a heart rate monitor is a good way to keep track of the intensity of the workout and your progress.
