Physical activity and fitness are very popular terms nowadays, but what do they really mean? Chantis Mantilla, Exercise Physiologist at Baptist Health South Florida, says physical activity is just moving your body and exercise is a more structured form of physical activity.
She explains exercise has some key elements, such as a goal, time, type and intensity. It is like running, walking, playing sports, among others.
Mantilla highlights fitness is the product of exercising, but you do not have to be fit to exercise.
