Causes of Heat Stroke

Being out in the heat for too long can throw off the balance of the body temperature, says Dr. Deepa Sharma, Family Medicine Physician with Baptist Health Primary Care.

She describes if the body is unable to cool itself, people can develop a heat related illness, such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke, among others.

Dr. Sharma advises people to get into the shade and stay hydrated if they don’t feel good.
