Diagnosis of Knee Arthritis
Dr. Luis Rodriguez, Sports Medicine Physician at Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute, explains some of the symptoms of knee arthritis are knee pain and increased noise or cracking in the knees, but 80 to 90% of the patients visit him because of pain in the joints.
He also says self management program is one of the most important treatments. "One of the first things we want to do when we see a patient with arthritis is engaging that patient, not only to understand the diagnosis and what we will do to feel better, but to stay active and to retain or improve their quality of life," he points out.
