How Can People Get Pneumonia

There are different ways that a patient can get pneumonia mainly for elderly people: aspiration, bacterial or viral infections or with the air droplets, explains Dr. Michelle Brewster, Internal Medicine Physician with Baptist Health South Florida.

Dr. Carol Barrocas, Internal Medicine Physician with Baptist Health South Florida, also explains there is another type of pneumonia: fungal, which can be non contagious.

The experts adds, however, pneumonia can be caught coughing, sneezing or with the air droplets.
