Privacy in Telehealth

In telehealth and healthcare the institution chooses a very highest level of security as possible, both for privacy issues and for cyber security, says Dr. Louis Gidel, Chief Medical Informatics Officer with Baptist Health South Florida.

In Tele-ICU the security begins at the front door. Identification and access are severely restricted. “All of our doctors and nurses are very experienced. They are very comfortable when treating patients in a confidential manner. They are very trustworthy people,” he affirms.
