Rehabilitation after an Ankle Injury

Some of the rehabilitation exercises after an ankle injury are early motion to prevent stiffness, strengthening exercises, balance training and endurance and agility exercises.

Thomas San Giovanni, Orthopedic Surgeon, at Miami Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute, says a physical therapist should work on reducing a lot of the inflammation, using ice or other methods, and then start doing strengthening exercises and balance exercises.
