“The best advice is starting exercising off gradually with something that’s a low skill gross movement such as stepping, like getting the stairs or stepping up into a box exercise, squats, sitting to a chair and standing back up several times,” says Dr. Brian Betancourt, Exercise Physiologist at Baptist Health South Florida.
