The 7-Minute Workout
The 7-minute workout uses the concept of a Japanese physiologist called Izumi Tabata. Dr. Ted Feldman, Medical Director of Prevention and Community Health with Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, describes what it is.
���You will go full bore for 20 seconds and you take a 10-second break. Full bore is a 100% effort and it�۪s a series of exercises that are broken up into 10-second intervals jumping jacks, push-ups, a different series of body weight exercises that people do over seven minutes,� he explains.
The doctor says this routine improves cardiovascular, fitness, performance and reduction in the likelihood of developing blockage in arteries.
